The Grand Tasting Reception with The Ray Alexander Trio 7:30-10pm

Exquisite examples of historic wooden boats will be on display as you stroll through food and wine stations in this most beautiful of settings on the ‘Queen of American Lakes’. With a 175 year history of producing wines, New York is the most varied and diverse wine region in the world. Come see why the judges and experts award many medals to New York wineries. Wine and Culinary Demo with Moet and Chandon Champagne 3pm

Learn from the pros at this culinary session.  See why Champagne is the perfect match to so many rich foods. Pick up a few tips and best of all - taste the demonstrated dish and pairing. Sit in and watch first-hand as our chef shows you how to master the art of preparing a menu while Guest Wine Expert, Richy Petrina, Brand Manager for Moet and Dom Perignon, advises the perfect pairing of wines. As thousands of wines from all over the globe become available in our neighborhood stores, let us simplify the confusion of what to drink with today’s varied cuisines. Experience the partnering of food and wine that you can use in your own entertaining and everyday dining. Take the intimidation out of wine pairing– become your own expert! Our chefs strut their stuff in these interactive and engaging classes. Our talented culinary team will prepare\ mouth-watering dishes with instruction and recipes provided so that attendees can make the dishes at home.

Zin and Chops Dinner with Chef Jamie Ortiz, Executive Chef of 677 Prime and Michael-David Winery. Reception at 6:30pm with passed hors d’oeuvres, Dinner at 7:30pm

The Sagamore Resort’s cozy Club Grill, with its classic lodge ambiance overlooking the Donald Ross Golf Course and spectacular Adirondack Mountains is transformed into a zinfully intimate steak house for a night by Chef Jamie Ortiz of Albany’s critically-acclaimed 677 Prime.  Michael-David Winery produces some of the finest hand-crafted wines in California. Their six generations of winegrowers specialize in Lodi's famous Old Vine Zinfandels. These ultrapremium Zinfandels will be paired to Chef Jamie’s three-course menu. Join us as we showcase America’s heritage grape, which offers rich, succulent, fruit-generous wines that pair incredibly well with food.

Antique Car and Vintage Boat Symposium with Wine & Cheese 11am-1pm

If one were to describe the Lake George region of New York State, the majestic Adirondack mountain range overlooking the island-dotted lakes would surely be mentioned. But the area's natural beauty is not all it can

be proud of. It also possesses a rich heritage of boats that navigated its waters and automobiles and carriages that traveled its roads. Join the Lake George Antique Boat Museum in a casual, fun and informative presentation about the Golden Years of boat and automobile production, when artistry was combined with great craftsmanship all for the purpose of transportation.

Brunch Cruise on “The Morgan” with Pol Roger Champagne 10am-1pm

If you need a reason to drink Champagne in the daylight hours, this spectacular Champagne Brunch aboard “The Morgan”, our 85-foot wooden, sightseeing boat, is it. Add the elegant Pol Roger Champagne and it's an

extravagance – an opportunity to sample, nibble and indulge. Featuring platters of oysters on the half shell, sides of smoked salmon, rich roasts, savory seafood, fresh berries, tropical fruits, chilled seafood, a pastry display and more…all presented against the backdrop of the Adirondack Mountains while floating on the crystalline waters of Lake George. The Magic of Ice Wine! 3pm

Ice Wine has become a regional specialty of the Finger Lakes. Made from frozen grapes, this luscious dessert wine is truly a nectar of the Gods. Join us for a sampling of New York’s best, and taste wines produced from an array of different grapes like Riesling, Vidal Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. Better yet, each wine will be paired with the perfect dessert to bring out its beautiful fruit flavors. If you have a sweet tooth, this one is not to be missed!

MONDAY, JULY 12TH

“The Morgan” Wine Cruise 6:30-8pm

Welcome aboard our 85-foot wooden, sightseeing boat, “The Morgan”, as we gently cruise the sparkling waters of Lake George on a warm summer evening while enjoying a tasting of tapas and other small plates. Is there any more elegant way to end a perfect day at The Sagamore Resort than to conspire with other wine and food enthusiasts in the setting of one of America’s most beautiful landscapes? This 1 1/2 hour cruise will offer a selection of wine and hors d’oeuvres.

TUESDAY, JULY 13TH

Grand Vintner’s Dinner with Giuseppe Nicolis, winemaker at Palazzo Montanari and Chef Yono Purnomo of Yono’s Restaurant. Reception at 6:30pm with passed hors d’oeuvres, Dinner at 7:30pm

Palazzo Montanari is a 14th century private estate located in the heart of “Valpolicella Classica”. The whole building has remained more or less the same since the 19th century, preserving its old charm of both a fortified tower house and a typical Italian country villa.  Now “Palazzo Montanari” continues its original function and produces olive oil and prestigious wines. With a southeast exposure, the benefit of the breezes that blow gently down the valley and the soil rich in fossils, the very high quality of the grapes needed for making the highest quality wines is guaranteed. Winemaker, Giuseppe Nicolis, the owner together with his brothers, takes great care of the land and all steps of winemaking are carried out with a great sense of passion. And there is no better way to enjoy these seductive wines than with Chef Yono Purnomo’s critically-acclaimed cuisine. Yono’s Restaurant consistently receives the highest awards and praise for its creative continental cuisine with Indonesian influences.

Wine and Culinary Demo with MacMurray Ranch Winery, a Russian River Gem 3pm

MacMurray Ranch was purchased by famed actor Fred MacMurray in 1941. Fred raised his family on the ranch, and they enjoyed the natural wonders of Sonoma County. Today the winery is still overseen by his daughter Kate MacMurray. Sit in and watch first-hand as our chef shows you how to master preparing seasonal delights while Guest Wine Expert, Ken Free, National Accounts Director for Gallo, advises the perfect pairing of MacMurray Ranch varietals from the much sought-after Russian River Valley. Experience the partnering of food and wine that you can use in your own entertaining and everyday dining. Pick up a few tips and best of all - taste the demonstrated dish and pairing. Take the intimidation out of wine pairing - become your own expert! Our chefs and local culinary stars strut their stuff in these interactive and engaging classes. THURSDAY, JULY 15TH

Riedel Glass Demonstration with Georg Riedel 6pm

Claus Riedel (9th generation) changed the world of wine with his revolutionary concept of functional stemware. He was the first in history to recognize the effect of a glass shape on the perception and pleasure of drinking wine. Georg Riedel (10th generation) further developed the concept that the delivery of the wine's message depends on the form of the glass. Don't miss this rare opportunity  to have Georg Riedel lead you through a flight of four wines in Riedel stemware from the Vinum XL Series in this seminar. THURSDAY, JULY 15TH

Fireworks and Wine Cruise aboard “The Morgan” 7:30-11pm

Cruise on Lake George as you sail your way through some of the greatest wine regions of the world. Start your journey boarding “The Morgan”, a replica 19th century, wooden, sightseeing boat, for a magical voyage where you'll have prime viewing of the evening fireworks above the Lake. As you sail along on the first half of your voyage, enjoy wines from producers around the world: Martin Codax from Spain, Whitehaven from New Zealand, Alamos from Chile, Gascon from Argentina and Red Rock of California, all beautifully accompanied by the freshest raw bar and chilled small bites. Your ship will set anchor at the perfect spot overlooking the majesty of Lake George to view the fireworks. From there you return to the pier while our staff regales you with a sumptuous choice of rich and colorful petit fours and coffee. Cash Bar after 10pm. Very limited tickets.

Grillin’ and Chillin’ with ‘Master of the Grill’ Chef Steven Raichlen of TV’s Primal Grill with Redwood Creek Winery 12:30-3:30pm

TV celebrity chef, cookbook author, and five-time James Beard award-winner, Steve Raichlen, will prepare a grilling feast served al fresco on the shores of Lake George. No one has mastered or written more on live fire cooking than Steve has – he is the grilling guru as described by everyone from the NY Times to Oprah. And what better wine to accompany a true American original like barbecue than with Redwood Creek Wines, like the redwoods themselves, big, rich and 100% Californian. Redwood Creek makes wine for those who believe life is all about the journey.

Dueling Chefs Dinner with Mark Theis, winemaker at Kendall-Jackson Winery Reception at 6:30pm with passed hors d’oeuvres, Dinner at 7pm

The Sagamore’s Chef Adam Savage takes on Ocean Properties Corporate Chef Dan Dumont from Wentworth by the Sea in a four-course Dueling Chefs Dinner. Each chef will prepare a course expressing their interpretation of the flavors found in the wine. Guests will cast ballots for the chef’s preparation they most prefer. This is an evening that promises to provide not only expertly prepared food and wine but fun and suspense too. Kendall-Jackson needs no introduction as producer of America’s most loved Chardonnay. But don’t miss this opportunity to explore their newest line of exceptional, estate-grown varietals, Jackson Hills.
